Ice Hockey

Francis Howell North Hockey Club has applied to join Mid States Club Hockey Association (MSCHA) and is tentatively approved to play an exhibition season in the JV league.

The Francis Howell North Hockey Club is an independent, non-school-sponsored organization. While the Club has the privilege of competing under the Knights name, it is not funded, operated, or overseen by Francis Howell North High School or the Francis Howell School District.

Although the school does not manage the Club's operations, the Club is expected to conduct itself in a manner that reflects positively on Francis Howell North High School, its students, and the community.

Ages

Students in 9th through 12th grade are eligible to participate in Junior Varsity (JV).

There are no exceptions for players not in high school.

There is no eligibility restriction for the JV team based on AAA, AA, Central States, Central States Prospects, etc.

General Eligibility

Players must attend Francis Howell North High School or be homeschooled and reside within the Francis Howell North High School attendance boundary.

In accordance with Mid States Hockey Association rules, all high school players must have earned passing grades in at least three credits during the most recently completed semester.

When

Practices will begin August 16th and run through playoffs in February.

Where

Practices are held at the RecPlex and Wentzville Ice Rink. Games will be played at rinks across the metro region.

Pre-Season Ice Schedule (Wentzville):

Sunday, 08/16: 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Tuesday, 08/18: 7:10 pm – 8:10 pm

Sunday, 08/23: 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Tuesday, 08/25: 7:10 pm – 8:10 pm

Sunday, 08/30: 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Tuesday, 09/01: 7:10 pm – 8:10 pm

Sunday, 09/06: 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm (depending on RSVPs)

Tentative Regular Season Practice Schedule (RecPlex), starting September 4th:

Fridays: 4:30 pm

Sundays: 5:45 pm (when no games are scheduled - JV games typically occur on Sundays starting in October)

Games

The JV season will run October through February. Number of games and season start date are TBD.

Uniforms

Club jerseys, shells and socks are required for all players.

Uniform cost is not included in registration and will be ordered/purchased separately.

2026-27 Exhibition Season

Skaters: $1,950

Goalies: $1,350

Future Knights Practices

We’re excited to offer an opportunity for 7th and 8th grade ice hockey players who reside within the Francis Howell North High School attendance boundary to join the JV team for practices this season!

This is a chance for younger players to get to know our coaches, build relationships with our high school players and begin building a foundation for their future as a Knight.

Participation in these practices does not guarantee a spot on our B Team, JV or any future FHNHC team. This is simply an opportunity to learn, develop, compete, and get to know the people and program that could be part of their hockey journey in the years ahead.
